Olivia T. Dean, affectionately known as ‘Doll’, was born to Welton Anderson and Annie Mae Taylor in Piperton, Tennessee, on March 5, 1941. She accepted Christ as her Savior at an early age and served as a faithful member of Mars Hill Missionary Baptist Church until her passing.
On June 5, 1960, she was united in holy matrimony to Archie Dean, Jr.; to this union, six children were born. Her kind, sweet and caring spirit reached near and far, leaving an unforgettable, yet memorable encounter to all that knew or had the privilege of meeting her.
Olivia was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers, Frankie Poole and Rev. Cooper Lee Dean, Sr.; her sister, Ella Ruth Jackson; her grandson, Anthony Jerome Chalmers; and her step-son, Lorenzo Helen.
Olivia departed this life on August 6, 2020. She leaves to cherish her memory and celebrate her life, her husband of sixty years, Archie Dean Jr.; three sons, Anthony Jerome “Sonny” (Donna) Dean & Austin Tyler Dean, both of Memphis Tennessee, and Darryl Tyrone Dean of Jacksonville, Florida; three daughters, LaRhonda Gale (Marvin Sr.) Conley & Tracy Alicia Dortch, both of Memphis, Tennessee, and Genevra Lynn Dean (Derrick) of Arlington, Tennessee; one step-daughter, Sandra O’Bannon of Elkhart, Indiana; along with fourteen grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She also leaves one uncle, Calvin (Aileen) Taylor; one aunt, Inez Taylor; five brothers, Rev. Oscar (Gloria) Bailey, Earnest (Cora) Poole Jr., Rev. James (Gracie) Poole, Alfrazier (Beatrice) Dean, and Derek (Angela) Dean; five sisters, Lillie Goods, Virginia Winton, & Kathryn McLaughlin, all of Memphis, Tennessee, Annette (Edward) Minor of Walls, Mississippi, and Archie Audrey Dean of McKinney, Texas, along with a long list of nieces, nephews, cousins, church members, family friends and more who she loved dearly.
