I am sad at the thought of your leaving this earthly vessel where we will no longer share phone conversations. I rejoice, however, in the fact that you are in the arms of our Lord and you have those who have gone before you surrounding you and they have welcomed you home. I love you, and there's nothing you can do about it. It's been a plum, pleasing pleasure! Until we meet again cousin, kiss momma and the other elders for me!

It would be hard to imagine my 30 years at the Memphis VA Medical Center without Mr. Ollie Horne. The level of excellence he demonstrated both in the quality of and dedication to his work in the pathology department cannot be overstated. He always conducted himself with dignity and professionalism. I am honored to have known and worked with him. My deepest sympathy to his family.

Ollie was such a wonderful man who brought so much joy to so many people. The thing I remember the most about him was his kind spirit. You could see the kindness in his eyes and smile. He was always the one to brighten the day.
May God keep you.

RIP Ollie.
