

Pat was born in Princeton, IL and grew up in Millington, TN. She graduated from Millington High School and earned a bachelor’s degree in history and physical education from Memphis State University.
She was preceded in death by her parents Homer Ellsworth (“Bub”) and Helen Martin Taylor and her brother Phillip E. (“Skip”) Taylor. Pat was also preceded in death by her best friend and beloved husband of 49 years Dr. Lowell Benjamin Robison.
She is survived by her children Stacey Ann Robison Rose, Courtney Robison Semisch (Bruce), and Trey Robison (Marla); all of whom she shuttled around Memphis during their school years, running carpool and attending sporting events. She is also survived by grandson Kevin Andrew Martin (Cailin) and great grandson Winston Kelly Martin.
Pat was an active member of Calvary Episcopal Church for nearly 30 years. She volunteered in the library, delighting in curating display windows for her fellow church members. For many years, she and Lowell were permanent fixtures at Calvary during Lent, overseeing the copying and distribution of Lenten speaker recordings to the community. She made and kept many close friends at Calvary who have kept in touch and provided constant support.
Pat was an active member of Chapter W of PEO sisterhood for more than 30 years. She acted as president, recording secretary, corresponding secretary, and served on the nomination committee. She proudly represented Chapter W at state conventions. She famously hosted the chapter Christmas party at her home.She was also a proud member of Daughters of the American Revolution, Magna Carta Dames, and Colonial Order of the Crown.
Pat and Lowell, enjoyed annual vacations to Gulf Shores, AL where they had a revolving door of family members during the course of their month-long stays. Pat enjoyed surf fishing while Lowell supervised from the back deck.
She was an avid genealogist, having inherited her aunt’s work tracing her family history to the Mayflower and beyond. She enjoyed regaling her family with tales of their ancestors with such liveliness and detail it seemed she had just spoken with them.
Pat was a lifelong sports fan and would watch any college basketball or football game she could find on tv. She collected and displayed memorabilia from the University of Memphis and University of Alabama, her favorite teams.
A talented seamstress and quilter, Pat sewed dozens of decorative flags that she proudly flew outside the family home. She also had several quilts in various stages of completion at any given time. Piles of fabric squares and various patterns crowded her workroom, waiting for their chance to shine in one of her creations.
She spent her free time solving any crossword or word search puzzle she could get her hands on, completing multiple puzzles a day. She was also a long time fan of Johnny Cash, John Denver, and Jimmy Buffett, and what she called “real country music.”
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to one of Pat’s preferred charitable organizations: The PEO Foundation or The Arthritis Foundation.
Family will receive friends from 5:00pm to 7:00pm on Tuesday, August 25 at Memphis Funeral Home 5599 Poplar Ave, Memphis, TN. A funeral service will be held at 10:00am on Wednesday, August 26 at Calvary Episcopal Church - Memphis 102 N. 2nd st, Memphis, TN.
