

Peggy Ruth Lee, 84, passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones on July 20, 2026. Although 84 years may seem like a long time to many, forever wouldn't have been long enough with this beautiful spirit.
Born on March 24, 1942, Peggy lived her life dedicated to her family, faith, and the enormous amount of love she put into both. Peggy was a lifelong Christian who loved the Lord with all her heart. She lived judgement free in her faith and showed kindness to everyone that she met.
She found great joy in gardening where she nurtured beautiful flowers and plentiful gardens. She loved listening to gospel music which brought her great comfort and peace.
Peggy's greatest joy in life was her family. She cherished every moment spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Creating memories that will be treasured for generations. Through every trial, tribulation, celebration and accomplishment, you could always find Pegg there to provide her support. Her light hearted humor, gentle spirit and eternal love will remain in the hearts of everyone who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, five siblings, beloved husband, Carl Lee, and youngest son, Danny Lee.
Peggy is lovingly survived by her daughters Darlene McDonald and Carla (Kevin) Adams; son Johnny (Ladonna) Lee; grandchildren, great grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends who will deeply miss her.
A gathering for family and friends will be held at Family Funeral Care, 4925 Summer Ave, Memphis, TN 38122, US, on July 28, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm, followed by a funeral service at the same location from 2:00 pm to 2:30 pm. A committal service will take place at Forest Hill Funeral Home and Memorial Park East, 2440 Whitten Rd, Memphis, TN 38133, US, immediately following.
Though Peggy has departed her earthly life, she was no doubt welcomed with open arms into heaven where she is now in the presence of her Savior. Her legacy of faith, love, silliness, compassion, and dedication to her family will continue to inspire all who were blessed to have known her.
