Pete S. “Sam” Favazza, 71, of Memphis, passed away on August 27, 2017, at his home. The family will gather to receive friends on Tuesday, September 5, between 12:00 noon and 2:30 p.m. at Family Funeral Care on Summer Avenue. Graveside services will follow at 3:00 p.m. at Calvary Cemetery. Sam was a graduate of Catholic High School and a US Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a beloved brother, respected by everyone he knew, and he lovingly cared for his mother until her death. Sam was preceded in death by his parents, Pete and Rose Favazza; and two sisters, Bernadette Favazza Clark and Angeline Favazza. He is survived by his brother, Leo Favazza (Mary Ann) of Knoxville; two nieces, Tina Favazza of Knoxville and Lisa Boston (Jordan) of Atlanta; five nephews, Harold Payne (Kim) of Memphis, Don Payne (Patty) of Virginia, Dennis Delashmit (Jean) of Atlanta, David Delashmit of Atlanta, and Peter Delashmit (Debbie) of Memphis; and a host of cousins.
