

Peter R Seal (1950-2024) will be missed by many. He was born in Honolulu, Hawaii on December 21, 1950. His father, a US Navy Pilot was stationed at Naval Base Hawaii. Peter left us to be with GOD on June 21, 2024.
After his father retired from the Navy, the family settled in Saratoga, CA. Peter obtained his private pilots license while still in high school. He graduated from Westmont High School in Campbell, CA and later from UC Davis with an engineering degree. After college, he followed in his father’s footsteps by volunteering to serve his country during the Vietnam War era. He joined the Marine Corps as a fighter pilot. In 1979, received an Honorable Discharge from active duty and immediately joined the Marine Corps Reserve. He retired from the US Marine Corps Reserve as a Colonel in 2001 with 30 years of combined active duty and reserve service.
1980 found Peter in Ft Worth, TX employed by General Dynamics, his work focused on Fighter/Attack Aircraft. He remained with General Dynamics until offered a position with Continental Airlines as a commercial pilot. He relocated to The Woodlands, TX where he lived with his wife, Suzanne. In 1995, Peter and Suzanne moved to New Waverly, TX where they owned and operated Many Blessings Farm, a horse breeding / boarding / sales and cattle lease operation. Peter loved horses, dogs and cats almost as much as he loved flying. In 2007, he & Suzanne relocated the farm to Hughes, AR. Peter retired from United Airlines as Captain in 2015.
Peter was pre-deceased by his parents, Ida Margaret Rockne Seal and John Douglas Seal of Saratoga, CA; brothers John D. Seal, Jr. of Fair Oaks, CA and Philip Seal of Saratoga, CA; in-laws Robert H. Agee of Memphis, TN, Ann Agee-Gates and N. W. Gates of Memphis, TN / Horseshoe Lake, AR.
He leaves behind his wife of 35 years Suzanne Agee Seal of Horseshoe Lake; AR, step-son, Robert Akridge of Memphis, TN; step-grandson, Christopher Grayson Akridge of Memphis, TN; sister Robyn Seal of Saratoga, CA; sister-in-law, Kris Mayr of Fair Oaks, CA; niece, Elli Seal-Mayr of Fair Oaks, CA & nephew, Matthew Seal-Mayr of Sacramento, CA.
Services with Marine Corps honors will be Monday, July 15th beginning at eleven o'clock in the morning in the Rotunda at West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery, 4000 Forest Hill Irene Road, Memphis, Tennessee 38125. A reception will follow at Amerigo's Restaurant, 1239 Ridgway Road, Memphis, TN 38119 in the Park Place Centre.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be sent to Trinity In The Fields Anglican Church, 100 East Military Rd, Marion, AR 72364.
