Pettus Cowley Gibbons Jr.

Peter was born on August 17, 1981 in Memphis, Tennessee. He graduated from Bartlett High School in 1999 and subsequently attended Southwest Technology Institute where he studied computer science technology.

Peter was an avid and accomplished athlete, and a selfless team player on a number of local football and ice hockey teams.

Peter is survived by his mother, Irene Natalie Gibbons of Memphis, his sister, Jenny (husband Kendall) Phillips, his niece Gianna DeLuco, and his nephew Joey Deluco, all of Atoka, Tennessee. He is preceded in death by his father Pettus Cowley Gibbons of Dallas, Texas, and his beloved grandparents, Frederick and Zenaida Morrill of Memphis.

Visitation has been established on November 10 from 6-8pm in the chapel at the Lindenwood Christian Church, 2400 Union Ave, Memphis, Tennessee.

A funeral is scheduled on November 11 at 2pm at the Lindenwood Christian Church chapel, with a reception to follow. Reverend Joe Bryan will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Peter’s life.
