Ralph Nolan Obermark, age 86, of Memphis, Tennessee passed away on Wednesday, November 9, 2022 at his home in Memphis surrounded by his family. Ralph was born on May 20, 1936 in Licking, Missouri. He married Norma Faye Obermark in 1957 and they had three daughters. Ralph and Norma Faye owned Cash Iron Company for 30 years creating all types of custom ornamental iron. Ralph was an avid deer hunter and fisherman. He also loved bowling and watching Memphis Tiger Basketball and St. Louis Cardinals.
Ralph is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Norma Faye Obermark; his two daughters, Renee Marchand (Tom) and Gail Johnson (Ken); his sister, Lavonne Green of Hartshorn, MO; his brother, Melvin Courtney of Potosi, MO; and his grandchildren, Kevin, Lauren, and Rachel Johnson. He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Ralph is preceded in death by his mother, Effie Obermark; his daughter, Lisa Obermark; his sisters, Freida King, Norma Ruth Bradley, Kay Bryson, and Carol Courtney; and his brother, Leslie Dean Courtney.
Services for Ralph will be held on Saturday, November 12, 2022 at Memphis Funeral Home at 5599 Poplar Avenue in Memphis. The visitation will begin at 1:00PM with a service to follow at 2:00PM. The burial will take place at Memphis Memory Gardens at 6444 Raleigh LaGrange Road in Memphis following the service.
