Ralph Clark Price, 85, of Germantown, Tennessee, passed away on May 25, 2026. Born January 5, 1941, in Parkersburg, West Virginia, Ralph lived a life marked by steady devotion, quiet resilience, and unwavering loyalty to the people and places that shaped him.
Ralph grew up as the son of a coal miner, moving throughout coal country in the mountains of Kentucky, West Virginia, and East Tennessee. Those early years formed in him a hard-working spirit and a strength that did not seek attention, but could always be counted on.
Shortly after moving to Memphis, Ralph began work at Seessels in gift wrapping. Through years of dedicated effort, he worked his way to store manager—a role he held for many years—earning respect through consistency, responsibility, and the kind of loyalty that turns a job into a lasting vocation.
Ralph was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Frances Jamerson Price, to whom he was married for 40 years. He was also preceded in death by his parents, Ralph Roby Price and Jane Cox Price. His life reflected deep devotion to family, carried with steadfastness and enduring love.
He is survived by his children, Stacy Price and Brian Price; grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Grace; and great-grandchildren, Brooke, Tenley, and Emmet.
In his personal time, Ralph found contentment in hunting and target shooting, and he was an avid reader, especially of science fiction. He also enjoyed gardening, taking satisfaction in patient work and the simple rewards it brings.
During retirement, Ralph remained active for many years with the Shelby County Community Gardens, continuing to show up faithfully and contribute in practical, meaningful ways—an example of the steady commitment that defined his life.
Visitation will occur on Saturday, June 20 from 1:00 PM until the memorial service at 2:00 PM, at Memphis Funeral Home, 5599 Poplar Avenue, Memphis, Tennessee.
The family requests memorial donations be directed to the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
