Ramelle Ruffa Lucchesi

Ramelle Ruffa Lucchesi, 89, of Memphis, Tennessee died on February 7, 2014. Born in Calossa, Italy on November 7, 1924, she was a pediatric nurse during WWII. Ramelle moved to the United States in the early part of 1962. She met Albert Lucchesi and they were married on December 12 of 1962. She was granted her U.S. citizenship on December 16, 1966. Once married she became a homemaker to Albert, volunteered at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and was an active member and group leader at the First Baptist Church of Memphis. Friends may gather on Tuesday, February 11 from 4 p.m.- 6 p.m. and funeral services will begin at 10 a.m., Wednesday, February 12, all at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens located at 5599 Poplar Avenue, Memphis, TN. Mrs. Lucchesi was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Silvio Lucchesi and brother, David Ruffa. She is survived by her nephew, Roberto Ruffa of Italy and a host of the Lucchesi relatives of Memphis. Memorials may be offered to First Baptist Church of Memphis.
