Born on July 25, 1938, Ray grew up in Shelby County and began a career that spanned many years as an entrepreneur and technician. Ray was known for his Levi jeans, proprietor of The Roadhouse for 40 years, and gifted electrician.
Ray is preceded in death by his father, Ted McCoy; mother Annie Belle McCoy; sisters Maggie, Dorothy, May Evelyn, Mildred; brothers Charlie and Johnny Wayne; children Mona Lisa, Raymond, and Michael. He is survived by his sister Martha (Donald Jackson), sons Jeff and Ernest; daughter Cindy (Andy Pruitt); 12 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
