Richard Edward Criswell

Richard was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He shared 32 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Anita Criswell. He was a loving father to his son, Jacob, and his daughter, Hannah (Jack), and a proud grandfather to his grandson, Owen, who brought him immense joy.

Richard had a big personality and an even bigger heart. He was funny, caring, and generous, and he had a way of making the people around him laugh and feel loved. His family and friends will forever remember his kindness, his sense of humor, and the love he so freely gave to those around him.

A lifelong sports fan, Richard was an avid Memphis Tigers supporter and loved cheering on his team. He also enjoyed golfing and traveling, especially when a sporting event gave him an excuse to make a trip. Some of his favorite memories were made alongside the people he loved, whether at a game, on the golf course, or traveling to new places.

Richard leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories that will live on through his family and the many lives he touched. He will be deeply missed by his wife, Anita; his son, Jacob; his daughter, Hannah and son-in-law, Jack; his grandson, Owen; his father-in-law, Robert Wilson, his many family members, co-workers and friends who were blessed to know him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lois and Roger Criswell; his mother-in-law, Jackie Wilson; his brother, Rodney Criswell and his niece, Brandi Criswell Travis.
