RICHARD HENDERSON JOHNSON III, beloved husband of Suzanne R. McEntire Johnson, went to be with our Lord Jesus Christ in their Sedona, Arizona home on June 16, 2010 at 3 p.m. Formerly of Memphis, Tennessee, Richard is survived by his two sons, Richard Johnson IV and Alexander N. Johnson with their mother, Marla Kim Willson Johnson. Richard grew up in Westerville, Ohio where he attended high school and college. Other family members include his father, Richard H. Johnson, Jr. (deceased); his mother, Opal May Johnson, Kathy Hightower, Paul Johnson and Georgia MaHaffey. Richard also counted children by marriage to Suzanne as his own, Tammy Sue and Scott Potter, Troy and Debbie Clark and seven grandchildren. Richard was a life-long fan of “fine” cars, was self-employed as Henderson Imports, and was also employed by Autorama/Mercedes Benz of Memphis in his early automobile profession as a technician, and again before his illness. Mercedes Benz owner and staff are the most trustworthy and caring professionals who were also counted as “friends”. Memorial services will be held Thursday, June 24 at the Memphis Funeral Home on Poplar Avenue from 6-8 p.m. Richard’s request was for “no flowers”, but you may send any thoughts of him to Hope Presbyterian Church in Cordova, The Stephens Minister-Larry Myers. The hands and heart of Jesus give you comfort and peace until we see Richard again. Memphis Funeral Home Poplar (901) 725-0100 www.memphisfuneralhome.net
