Rita Carol Cohoe, born on January 6, 1942, in Memphis, Tennessee, passed away on February 5, 2026, at the age of 84. Known for her kind-hearted and compassionate nature, Rita was a beloved resident of Bartlett, Tennessee.
Rita grew up in Frayser and graduated from Frayser High School. Early in her career, she worked for General Electric at one of their light bulb factories. She later retired as a licensed practical nurse, dedicating her life to caring for others.
Rita was preceded in death by her daughter, Karen Denise Cohoe. She is survived by her grandson, Zachary Ellington, and two brothers, Joe Davenport (Cathy) and Donald Davenport.
Her memory will be cherished by all who knew her.
A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, February 14 from 1:00 until 3:00 PM, at Memphis Funeral Home, 5599 Poplar Avenue, Memphis, Tenneesee.
