Born on October 7, 1942 in Davis County Hospital in Pine Bluff, AR, he was the son of Lemuel Hooker Carroll and Ethel Elizabeth Pettus Carroll, both now deceased.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Nina Frances Talley Carroll; and son Jonathan Matthew Carroll of Tull, AR. Bob was preceded in death by his daughter Lori Leigh Carroll in 1987.
Family and friends will gather at Memphis Funeral Home on Poplar Avenue on Wednesday, May 5 from five o'clock until seven o'clock in the evening. A graveside service will be held the next afternoon, Thursday, May 6 beginning at two o'clock in the afternoon at Memphis Memory Gardens Cemetery, 6444 Raleigh Lagrange Road, Memphis, TN 38134.
Any memorials in Bob's honor may be offered to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
