

Devoted husband and beloved father Robert “Frank” Chamberlain, 82 passed away April 17, 2013. Frank was a member of Nesbit Church of Christ, where he served as an Elder. Frank enlisted into the United States Navy on May 24, 1948. During his 24 years in the Navy he served on several ships, including the U.S.S. Valley Forge and the U.S.S. Philippine Sea. During his 24 years in the Navy, Frank has lived in 27 states and 9 foreign countries and advanced through every enlisted rank except for Master Chief before gaining his commission and was a Lieutenant Commander when he retired. He went on to work as an Engineering Inspector for the Memphis Airport Authority and retired from Allen & Hoshall, Inc. Frank is survived by his loving wife, Lucy Ray Chamberlain; daughters, Kim Blanchard (Timothy), Shannon Kay Wilder (Ricky); son, Robert Ray Chamberlain (Benita); brother, Blain Chamberlain (Ramona); grandchildren, Michelle Hadaway, Joshua Chamberlain (Melinda), Matthew Conn (Lauren), Cody Chamberlain, Nicole Lamb (Joshua), Courtney Becker (Bryan), Emily McBride (Albert), Jordon Wilder (Hannah) and eleven great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 23 at 11 am, the family will receive friends from 10 am until service time all at Nesbit Church of Christ, 685 Nesbit Road, Nesbit, MS.
