Robert Eugene Potts

Robert E. "Bob" Potts, 81, of Memphis, went to be with the Lord on Monday, July 7, 2014, after a round of golf. He was a longtime member of Germantown Baptist Church and was attending both Hope Church and Kirby Woods Baptist Church. He was a proud veteran having served as a sergeant in the U. S. Army. He later graduated from Memphis State University. He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Jean Potts. He is survived by four children, John L. Potts of Nashville, TN, Mrs. Jay (Debbie) Barnhart of Germantown, Mrs. Bob (Jo) White of Phoenix, AZ and Paula Potts of Memphis, TN. He leaves behind 9 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren, and two brothers, John S. Potts of memphis and Jim Potts of Seymour, IL. He loved his Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, church, country, family and golf. The service will be 2 p.m. Friday, July 11, at Memphis Funeral Home, Poplar Chapel, with interment in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends beginning at 12 noon.
