

Roger retired in 2001 from Parker Hannifin after 35 plus years as a Division Controller. He was an avid athlete and well known for his skills on the handball court and the softball diamond. He was a member of several athletic halls of fame such as, Ohio Handball, Cleveland Handball, Memphis Amateur Sports and a certificate of acheivement from the Province of Ontario. He was a longtime member of Olive Branch Country Club serving as treasurer of the men's association for over 20 years. He mentored and made many friends both in his career and in his sports endeavors, encouraging others along the way. Roger was the biggest flirt and tease ever known to his many friends, but also a good friend and cheerleader for them. He was a true sportsman.
Roger is survived by his wife, Marge Nickels; his sons, Terry Nickels (Dawn) and Ted Nickels; his six grandchildren, Tabitha, Sarah, Olivia, Teddy, Ian, and Allison; his brothers, Tony Schillaci (Kathy) and Jack Schillaci; his sister, Josephine Schillaci; his three great-grandchildren, Andy, Emily, and Cassidy; and also many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and his two sisters, Arta June and Betty.
A celebration of Roger's life will be held at Olive Branch Country Club in Olive Branch, MS on Saturday, February 18, 2023 at 2 PM.
