Rudell Forrest

Mrs. Rudell Forrest of Memphis, TN died Dec 26, 2011 at the age of 88 years. She was born in Slayden, MS on Feb 26 1923, the daughter of William Oliver Skelton and Martha Belle Feathers Skelton. She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Lois “Boonie” Forrest. Also preceding her in death were sisters Nolie Cothern and Bertha Lowe Teel and brothers Jack , Clark and Cooper Skelton. She leaves behind a brother, Burton Skelton, of Memphis.

Mrs. Forrest leaves behind four children; daughter, Jean Krauss (Bruce), son Michael Forrest (Vicki ), both of Memphis, son Dan Forrest (Kelley) of Munford,TN. and son David W. Forrest (David Padua) of Miami, Fl.

She leaves behind eleven grandchildren: Bryan Cothran, Shelley Thomas, Cole and Will Forrest, Amy, Jason, Daniel, Michael, Andy and Tim Forrest and Sarah Watkins . She was preceded in death by two grandsons, Neil and Clay Krauss.

She also leaves leaves behind 6 great-grandchildren

Our Mom was a caring and fun loving person who was always there for her family and her friends. She lived a full and happy life. We loved her so much and we will miss her greatly and will always remember and cherish our time with her.

Visitation will be at Memphis Funeral Home Poplar Chapel 5599 Poplar on Wednesday Dec, 28th from 5:00 to 8:00 pm, with service on Thursday, Dec 29th at 2:00 pm at Elmwood Cemetery Chapel, Memphis, with burial at Elmwood.
