I was truly blessed to have this man in my life. He was a friend to me and my entire family. He was always willing to help however he could. What started out as 15 year old me BEGGING him for a job turned into a friendship of 18 years. He was like a fun Uncle. I could tell him things I couldn't tell anyone else as a teenager and he would listen and give excellent advice. He never judged and was ALWAYS there if needed day or night with no questions asked. He will be missed for sure. I have so many good memories though and I will cherish them always.

I was saddened to hear of Brent’s (we called him Russell) passing. When I came to Memphis, he more or less took my daughter and me in and helped us get to know the area. Russell had the biggest heart and was one of the kindest men I’ve ever met. I don’t know what we will do without him. He will be terribly missed. RIP my friend. Condolences to Melissa, her kids and Alisa.
