Ruth C. Prettack Pritzke

Ruth C. Pritzke, 94 of Memphis, died November 15, 2011 at Kirby Pines Manor. She was born April 16, 1917 in Chicago, Illinois. She had been married to Edwin Pritzke for 67 years before his passing in August 2010. The family moved to Memphis in 1959 where they joined Immanuel Lutheran Church and made many life-long friends. Ruth’s generosity, ready wit and cheerful spirit will be missed by all. Ruth is survived by her daughter Carol Lynn Smith (David) of Carmichael, California; her son David Pritzke (Gloria Hepburn) of Germantown; two granddaughters Arielle Yarbrough (Dan) and Kara Fairweather (John), also of California, and great-grandchildren Ian, Abigail, John Samuel and Lyla Grace; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 30, 2011 from 6:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Memphis Funeral Home, 5599 Poplar Avenue. A memorial service will be celebrated Thursday, December 1, 2011 at 2:00 PM also at Memphis Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church, 6325 Raleigh-LaGrange Road, Memphis, TN 38134.
