Ruth Stephenson

Ruth Johnson Stephenson, 93, of Memphis, TN died January 14, 2012. Graveside services will be held at Memphis Memory Gardens, 6444 Raleigh LaGrange, Memphis, Tn 38134, on Thursday, January 19, at 11 a.m. Mrs. Stephenson was preceded in death by her husband, E.G. Stephenson. Prior to retirement, Mr. and Mrs. Stephenson were owners of Stephenson’s Nursery on Poplar Avenue and Porky’s Barbeque restaurant. They also loved and cared for many animals. Mrs. Stephenson is survived by her cousins, Ira Tacker of Memphis and her son, Ronnie Tacker, Nina Summer of Murfreesboro, TN, Dorothy Beaty Ellis of Memphis, John Roberts Story of Selmer, TN, and Dorothy Wharton of Alabama.
