Our dear friend and the dear friend of so many has gone home to be with the Lord today. Sandra Gillespie passed away today after outliving predictions of many doctors. Only the Lord knew the hour that he required her. He is never early or late. He has perfect timing. Sandra was a wonderful sped bus driver with SCS for many years. She was a great cook, entertained often in her home and a compassionate helper to those in need. We praise God for her and will miss her but her suffering is over and she is reunited with Jimmy, Jason and Jamie.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Gillespie; two sons, Jason Gillespie and Jamie Gillespie and her parents, Fred and Frances Nance.
She is survived by her sister, Barbara (Harry) Daniel; granddaughter, Lindsey Webb; niece, Heather Daniel and two nephews, Nathan Daniel and Joshua Daniel.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 2, 2016 from 12 noon until service time. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. all in the chapel of Memphis Funeral Home, 5599 Poplar Avenue, Memphis, TN
