Sara M. Patterson, 87, of Bartlett, Tennessee passed away on May 29, 2018. Mrs. Patterson was a loving and devoted wife to her late husband, Henry Thomas Patterson, Sr. She was a homemaker who dearly loved her children. Mrs. Patterson loved gardening, volunteering, and was known for her benevolence towards others and her community. She was a long-time member of East Hill Baptist Church where she was frequently found serving in various capacities and donating her time to the church. She is preceded in passing by her husband, her daughter, Tommie Lee Anderson, her son-in-law, James Huggins, her siblings, Warren Magee and Barbara Scott, and her long-time companion, Clarence Stewart. Mrs. Patterson is survived by her children, Sandra Henshaw (Greg), Sherrie Huggins, Henry Thomas Patterson, Jr. (Penny); her son-in-law, Eddie Anderson; her grandchildren, Michael, Shannon, Leslie, Kellie, Laci, Dana, Brad, and Cory; as well as nine great-grandchildren and two great great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Friday, June 1 from 12:00pm until the time of the funeral service at 2:00pm at East Hill Baptist Church, 7054 St. Elmo Road, Bartlett, Tennessee. Interment will follow at Memphis Memory Gardens. Memorial contributions may be sent to the American Cancer Society or East Hill Baptist Church.
