Sara Beth Clay Stovall, widow of retired firefighter John Stovall, went home to be with her Lord on November 25, 2016. She was born in Kentucky on September 21, 1946, to Dr. and Mrs. Lowell Adams (deceased). Sara Beth moved to Memphis as a child when her father founded Graceland Baptist Church in Whitehaven. A dedicated teacher, she retired from Memphis City Schools, where she spent most of her career at Cummings and Graceland Elementary Schools. Sara Beth leaves her two beloved sons, Adam Clay and John Aaron Clay; her granddaughter, Emily Clay; and her sister, Lowella Cherry (Rick). The family will receive friends from noon until her service begins at 2 p.m. on Saturday, December 3, at Family Funeral Care. Interment will follow in Memphis Memory Gardens.
