Sarah was born to the late William and Hallie Cook on October 3, 1931 in New Orleans, Louisiana. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Robert Green.
Sarah is survived by her children, Laura, Ginny, Jeff, Martha; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
A visitation for Sarah will be held Thursday, February 27, 2025 at 9:00 AM at Memphis Funeral Home, 5599 Poplar Ave, Memphis, Tennessee. A funeral service will occur Thursday, February 27, 2025 at 10:00 AM, 5599 Poplar Ave, Memphis, Tennessee. A committal service will occur Thursday, February 27, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Memorial Park Funeral Home & Cemetery, 5668 Poplar Ave, Memphis, Tennessee.
Sarah will be laid to rest in Memorial Park Cemetery, 5668 Poplar Avenue, Memphis, Tennessee.
Serving as pallbearers are Averre Neff, Davis Hopper, Amelia Hopper, Pat Wredling, Mark Downing and Cody Garbuzinski.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Sarah's memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
