Sarah Peggy Groves Green, 80, of Memphis died Monday, April 18, 2011 at Delta Medical Center. The family will receive friends at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens – Poplar Chapel on Tuesday, April 26, 2011 from 5 – 7 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at Poplar Chapel Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. Interment will be at Forest Hill Midtown Cemetery. A lifelong Memphian, Mrs. Green was a graduate of Whitehaven High School and retired civil Servant at the Army Defense Depot. She is survived by her sons, Jerry Green (Lynn); and Kirby E. Green, Jr. and his family; and her sister, Wynette G. Martin; 6 grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren; and her companion of 43 years, Billy Cross; all of Memphis.
