Sarah was the 12th of 13 children of the late Henry Jefferson Walls and Mary Calsey Donie Garling Walls of Pontotoc County, MS. She is survived by 2 daughters (Debbie and Nan) and two brothers (Garland and Donald Walls).
Sarah was raised on a farm, and would much rather have been plowing the fields than helping her Momma in the kitchen. She had a feisty and sassy personality, but a heart full of love. She loved telling stories to anyone who would listen, and boy did she have some. Her passion was music. She loved to sing and record music, and played a fast guitar. She loved her family, and caretakers (Loretta and Sheral).
We will celebrate Sarah’s life at the Memphis Funeral Home located at 5599 Poplar Avenue Memphis, TN 38119 on Wednesday, August 9, 2023 (her 92nd birthday) between 9:00am and 11:00am. There will be no service or graveside service.
