Scotty Claxton Little, 77, passed away peacefully at his home Tuesday March 12, 2019. He was retired from Harding Academy with 34 years of service and was a member of White Station Church of Christ. He was born in Amory, Mississippi on February 28, 1942 to Shellie and Othel Little. Scotty was a devoted husband, father, granddad, great-granddad, and a friend to all that knew him. He will be truly missed by all. Scotty was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Josephine Lorick and Caroline Harris; and by four brothers, Dale Little, Farrell Little, Reece Little, and Kendall Little. He is survived by his wife, Ann Little; three daughters, Michelle Rea (David), Kristy Little, and Lisa Stachowski (Steve); seven grandchildren, Zachary Ryan, Matthew Rawson, Courtney Jackson, Grace Jackson, Grady Jackson, Hannah Jackson, and Katelyn Rea; one great-grandson, Tatum Ryan, and two sisters, Peggy Ausborn (Curtis) and Elsie Tartt. The family will receive friends on Friday March 15, 2019 from 5-8 p.m. at Memphis Funeral Home, 5599 Poplar Avenue, Memphis. Funeral services will be held on Saturday March 16, 2019 at White Station Church of Christ, 1106 Colonial Road, Memphis, Tennessee. Interment will follow at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N Germantown Road, Bartlett, Tennessee. In lieu of flowers, gifts in memory of Mr. Little may be offered to the Scotty Little Scholarship Fund at Harding Academy.
