Sharon Fay Smith was born January 19, 1943, the youngest child and only daughter of John David Smith and Beatrice “Eloise” Harchfield Smith. She had two brothers, James “Keithel” Smith and John Wayne Smith. Her childhood was spent in Covington, TN, and later teen years in Aurora, IL. She eventually moved to Denver, CO, where she had a son, John D Smith. Upon returning to Memphis in 1980, she was a years-long employee of Holiday Inn Headquarters and Medical Alternatives before retirement. In later life, she helped raise an honorary granddaughter, Briana Yvawn Lovin. She was a member of Rosemark Church of Christ. Sharon departed this world February 19, 2026. She is interred at Helen Crigger Cemetery in Munford, in proximity to her parents.
