Shelly sadly passed away in her home in Memphis, Tennessee on July 24,2025 surrounded by her loved ones.
She was a happy, and bright woman. She loved spending time with her family and adored her children and grandchildren. She really enjoyed life. She worked at many places throughout life, some includes Assistant manager at Little Caesars, Domino’s, server at IHOP. She delivered newspapers, auto trader magazines, and phone books. She also drove an ice cream truck and a limo.
Shelly is preceded in death by her youngest son Matthew Simmons, her maternal grandparents and her fraternal grandparents, her uncle Keith Hill and her father Larry Hill.
Shelly leaves behind her mother Sandra Williams, two daughters, Tina Phillips and Regina Walker, three sons, Zachary Fincher, Eugene Fincher Jr and Jacob Fincher. Two daughter-in-law’s Laura Phillips and Jaley Davis. Three son-in-law’s Eddie Phillips, Danny Walker and Brandon Riffe. She also leaves behind two brothers, Rodney Hancock and Brandon Hancock. One sister, Melissa Hafer, and one sister-in-law Bessie Carisle. 13 grandchildren two aunts, two uncles. five nephews and one niece.
A visitation for Shelly will be held Saturday, August 9, 2025 from 12:00 PM until the funeral service at 1:00 PM, at Family Funeral Care, 4925 Summer Avenue, Memphis, TN 38122. Graveside service will follow at Poplar Grove Cemetery, 158 Quito-Drummonds Road, Drummonds, TN 38023.
