Sherrie L. Clarke

Sherrie Lynn Clarke, 73, passed away March 4, 2016 at her home in Memphis. She was a member of Forest Hill Church of Christ, where she enjoyed teaching Bible school. She enjoyed working computer games and puzzles and shopping for her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry E. Mooney and Wanda Beryl (McAlister) Mooney and by a brother, Gregg Mooney. She is survived by her husband, Ted Clarke; daughter, Brooke (Tim) Tate; sons, B.J. (Tish) Clarke and Bryan (Teri) Clarke; grandchildren, Kristin (Brian) Durm, Justin (Season) Clarke, Daniel Clarke, Holly Clarke, Michael (Meagan) Clarke, MacKenzie Tate and Taylor Tate; great-grandchildren, Hailey, Landon and Liam Durm and by one sister Bonnie (Don) Puckett. The family will receive friends Monday, March 7, 2016 from 5-7 p.m.at Forest Hill Church of Christ, 3950 Forest Hill-Irene Road, Memphis. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at 10 a.m. at Forest Hill Church of Christ. Interment will follow at Memphis Memory Gardens, 6444 Raleigh LaGrange, Memphis. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made to the “Sherrie Clarke Scholarship Fund” at the Memphis School of Preaching, 3950 Forest Hill-Irene Rd. Memphis, TN 38125.

Thanks be to God
I have come to love this family for some time now and i have been blessed. I have listened to sermons and teachings from the word of God by this family and it has been a tremendous blessings for me. Sherrie is never dead but alive in Christ.I am Strong in faith of her existence as we all do. Your family is blessed with godly ladies (Sherrie and Tish, just to mention a few) and i am in hope for such in my life. BJ Clarke i love you so much frankly. I am hoping in God to help me see you one day.

My condolences to Ted, B.J. & Tish, Bryan & Teri, Brooke & Tim, and the entire family. I was saddened to hear of Sherrie's passing, albeit am happy to have some great memories of her.

Though she will be sorely missed by so many people, she has left a wonderful legacy to each of you. Her kind spirit, love for her family, friends, and especially her love for God and His word.

Each of you will be in my thoughts and prayers.

I have fond memories of our family visiting with the Clarke family at Southside Church of Christ in Peoria, IL and travelling to see them in Indiana.
