Steve, I feel so very blessed to have had the pleasure of knowing you and sharing so much with you over the course of the years. By example, you taught me tolerance and patience, your love of nature was contagious. It makes me smile now to think back, remembering that first time I saw you at the airport here, my two trips to Memphis.... ah, such memories. Rest easy my dear friend. You were loved.

I am very sorry to learn of Steve's passing. I was an underclassman at East High who looked up to that cool older guy who was always friendly, always wearing a smile.

You know much about the character of a person by the way they treat those who they hardly know...making them feel included in their lives.

I have nothing but fond memories of the few times I was in Steve's company and will forever respect him and honor his memory.
