Sue was a special friend who will always be in my heart.  When we met at Sunday school in Ypsilanti, MI, so many years ago. She brought the girls to class, and we eventually taught a class together, attended, hung out at each other's house, cooked, and my boys and her girls.  I have so many memories that I will always cherish.  Sue raised wonderful, strong girls, now courageous women. My thoughts and prayers are with them both at this time. I hope they are comforted and Sue's love keeps them close now and always.

I remember how Sue's face would light up when she would talk about her girls, Anna and Mimi. One day, at Shepherd Montessori in Milan, MI, Mimi had packed her own lunch and brought it to school. It was a big bag of green grapes. That was it. When Sue was asked about why that was all Mimi had for lunch, Sue replied that that was what Mimi had decided to bring for lunch that day. That Mimi was learning how to pack and what to pack for her lunches. Sue had this look that told me she wanted to correct the "lunch" but knew that she had to stand back and allow her daughter to learn that a big bag of green grapes would not fill her for lunch. The next day, Mimi had a much better lunch and there were no more days of just a big bag of green grapes for lunch. That story has stuck with me for over 20 years. Dear Anna & Mimi,
I am so sorry to learn of your Mom's passing. She and I still had many stories to tell you about our childhood together. I was so happy to see and hear how very proud of you both that she was ! That gave me such joy to hear. My heart goes out to you both at this sad time.

Sue was a parent in the school I worked and we became dear friends .in a short while . Anna and Mimi were my students . She went out of her way to help out in the school and classroom  . We could depend on her for anything to get done and was always very appreciative of us . 
Our recent trip to Memphis became very special because we stayed with her and experienced her warm hospitality , sight seeing tours , including taking us to one of the Kiwanis meetings  and proudly introducing us to her friends . 
Het infectious jokes always kept me in splits of laughter ! She was so much fun to be with . 
We are devastated by her loss but will cherish memories of Sue . May God be with Anna and Mimi . With our love and sympathy, Hema and Mark
