Suzanne Marie Adams Yates, CPA, 55, of Bartlett passed away Monday, February 23, 2015. Mrs. Yates once worked for the City of Southaven as City Accountant, retired from the City of Bartlett as Accounting Supervisor and she retired earlier this year from The University of Memphis as an Accountant. She also has served as Past President of The American Society of Women Accountants. Mrs. Yates was preceded in death by her parents, Pat and Bettye Adams. She is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, Donald Yates; two daughters, Karen Yates and Joanne Pope (Michael); one sister, Marsha Halliday (Tom); one brother, Patrick Adams III; two grandchildren, Scott Pope and Michael Pope III; nieces and nephews, Theresa Havener, Daniel Halliday, Sara Haugen, Catherine Halliday; and her father-in-law, James Larry Yates. Family will receive guests Friday from 5 to 7 pm at Family Funeral Care, 4925 Summer Ave. with services being held Saturday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home.
