Tarna Marie Orr Miller

She moved to Florida as an infant and grew up in the Treasure Island area of St. Petersburg, Florida. As a teenager, she worked as a lifeguard on Jacksonville Beach. In her early twenties, Tarna was working for 7 eleven corporation as a district manager and her job moved her to Memphis, TN. While working in Memphis, she met her true love, Walter Miller. They were married on September 9, 1975, and shared the rest of their lives together.

Tarna is survived by her husband, Walter and her children Garrett, Matthew, and Kim. Tarna's children were her pride and joy! She was a kind and loving mother to her two sons, Garrett and Matthew and her daughter by marriage, Kim Miller. She loved art, travel, the ocean, and giving back to her community. She was a volunteer for the Memphis Jaycees and a strong advocate for those with disabilities.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 9, 2021 from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm with services immediately following at Family Funeral Care, 4925 Summer Ave, Memphis, TN 38122. Tarna's interment will follow at Memphis Memory Gardens, 6444 Raleigh Lagrange Road, Memphis, TN 38134.
