I am so sorry to hear about the passing of Tom. I have so many fond memories of the years that we lived nextdoor. Tom was always such a true gentleman, with a glowing smile on his face. He was so thoughtful and kind to call me five years ago when my mother passed away. I have placed a memorial poinsettia in his honor on the altar of St. Jude Catholic Church here in Chattanooga, where Philip was priest years ago.

Dear Breen Family, I am so sorry for your loss and hope that all of you are doing Ok. I knew Mr. Breen back in Balmoral when Tom, Trish and I would play with each other. He was always one of the ones who had kind words and good advice for us little ones. He also taught us how to kick a football, which we did on numerous occassions in his backyard. Much to his chagrin. It has been 40 plus years since that time and I had the good fortune to see him again when we brought Mom home to Memphis when she passed away over 12 years ago. He was there with Mrs. Breen at the grave side service and was a rock then. I cannot forget what a kind and gentle man he was (even when he was disiplining us). I will pray for each of you and him as well. He always did do things his way and I guess he did that up until the end.

My love and prayers are with all of you.

Dear Ms. Jean, Tom, Trish and family,
Mr. Breen was just the loveliest person, always had a smile, and so quick to have a kind word. My thoughts and prayers are with you. I hope the memories of a wonderful life sustain you. Fondly, Susan D. Vescovo (Depperschmidt)

Dear Jean and family: Doreen and I send our deepest sympathies and prayers to you on the passing of Tom. I worked with Tom for over 30 years on projects with the Serra Club, the Knights of Columbus and the East Memphis Catholic Club. He was always contributing with his intelligence, his organizational skills and his wonderful outgoing personality. I don't think Tom ever met anyone he didn't like. We have fond memories of the great Christmas parties at your home over the years. Doreen and i will have Masses said for Tom here in Florida although I am sure he is already in heaven. He did so much for so many people over the years in Memphis and he will truly be missed.

Tommy and I ran together when we were teenagers in high school. I double dated with he and Jean on several occasions. Bill, Tommy's brother, would lend Tom his yellow Chevy convertible and we went about town in style. I and Ruth's prayers go out to Jean and the family. He was a good friend and we know he is with the Lord. Murray "Nick" Nicholson, Jr.
