Tolbert W. Morris

Tolbert Wayne Morris, of Memphis, a retired mechanical contractor and owner of Morris Plumbing and Heating Company passed away on Monday, August 31, 2015, at the age of 83. He was a longtime member of Colonial Park United Methodist Church. Tolbert was a member of the Masons 50 year member, Scottish Rite of Freemasonry 32nd, Shriners International, and the Alchymia Shriners. He was preceded in death by six brothers and one sister. Tolbert leaves his loving wife of 63 years Joyce M Morris, two children Wayne Morris (Elizabeth), Marsha Gantner (David), and four grandchildren Jason Morris, Jannae Morris, Rachel Gantner and Sarah Gantner. A gathering of family and friends will be held from five thirty until seven thirty, on Thursday evening, September 3, 2015. Funeral services will be held at ten thirty on Friday morning, September 4, 2015, all at Memphis Funeral Home, 5599 Poplar Ave., Memphis, TN 38119. Interment will be in the Booneville City Cemetery, Booneville, MS. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Colonial Park United Methodist Church, the ALS Foundations, or to the charity of donor’s choice.
