Tom met his wife, Gerry, while they were both working at National Guard Products. Their meeting began a beautiful journey together and led to 25 years of marriage.
Tom became a Catholic and joined St. Ann Catholic Church in Bartlett on April 19, 2003, where he remained a devoted member until his passing. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus, an organization that held a special place in his heart.
Those who knew Tom will remember his love of golf. He could often be found with a golf club in his hand, enjoying time on the course and participating in golf tournaments. Among his many memories, one of his proudest accomplishments was winning the MLG&W Charity Golf Scramble.
Tom was strong-willed and, at times, a little stubborn, but beneath that determination was a man with a big heart who cared deeply for his family and those around him. He will be remembered for his unique personality, his love of life, and the many memories he created with those he loved.
Tom was preceded in death by his loving wife Geraldine Fisher, parents, John and Margaret (Fisher) Noell, his stepfather, Charles Noell Jr., his brother, Robert C. Fisher, and three stepbrothers.
He is survived by his stepchildren, Danny Ashworth; Connie (Doug) Hume; Teresa (Robert) Miller; and Christy Webster; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and his cousin, Judy A. Gauthier.
Tom leaves behind a lifetime of memories and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Heaven gained an angel, but those of us left on this side of heaven are heartbroken. His memory will forever live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
Visitation will be held Monday, September 28, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Family Funeral Care, 4925 Summer Avenue. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 29, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Ann Catholic Church in Bartlett.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Ann Bartlett Knights of Columbus in Tom’s memory.
