Verdell Jordan Gray Sr., age 74, of Memphis, Tennessee passed away on Thursday, February 4, 2021. Verdell was born November 17, 1946 in Memphis, TN.

A visitation for Verdell will be held Friday, February 12, 2021 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at M.J. Edwards F.H. Stage Road Chapel, 4445 Stage Road, Memphis, Tennessee 38128. A funeral service will occur Friday, February 12, 2021 at 2:00 PM, 4445 Stage Road, Memphis, Tennessee 38128. A burial will occur Thursday, February 25, 2021 at 10:30 AM at West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery, 4000 Forest Hill Irene Road, Memphis, TN 38125.

My deepest condolences to Verdell's twin brother, Bedell, and to their family and friends. My fondest memory of Verdell is that whenever I called to check on "Ms Gray's Boys" he would repeatedly holler "cake" in the background because he LOVED the pineapple coconut cake I had, on occasion, (not often because they were diabetic) made for them. I'll miss you Biggun, as I fondly called Verdell. You all are in my prayers.
