Victor Jackson Vowell, Jr., 83 of Memphis passed away February 22, 2014. Victor served in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict; he attended Tulane University and retired from Consolidated Freightways in 1993. He leaves behind his daughters, Lori Mills and Jill Vowell both of Memphis; son, Victor Gary Vowell of Southaven, MS; sisters, Deane Hill of Pasadena, TX and Sue Metz of Walls, MS and one granddaughter, Victoria Raemarie Mills of Southaven, MS. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 25 from 4-6 p.m. and services will follow at 6:30 p.m., all at Memphis Funeral Home on Poplar Ave. Burial will be in West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery on Wednesday, February 26 at 11 am.
