Virginia Lindsey Barry, 86, of Memphis, died of natural causes Thursday, January 14, 2016 at Baptist Reynolds Hospice House in Collierville, TN. Mrs. Barry retired from Baptist Memorial Hospital in 1984. She is preceded in death by her husband, John Sullivan Barry, her son, John Lindsey Barry, and her eight brothers and sisters. Mrs. Barry is survived by her daughters, Gretchen Ott (Martin), of St. Louis, MO, and Frances Taylor of Memphis, TN, as well as her son, Steven Barry (Stella), of Memphis, TN. She also leaves five grandchildren, Parker and John Schultz of St. Louis, MO, Stephanie and Elizabeth Barry of Memphis, TN, and Zach Taylor or Starkville, MS. The family will receive friends at a catered reception Friday, January 15, 2016 from 5-8pm at Family Funeral Care, 4925 Summer Ave. Memphis. The funeral service will be held Saturday, January 16, 2016 at 10am at Cherry Road Baptist Church, 1421 Cherry Rd. Memphis, TN 38117. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
