

Virginia McQuiston Ferguson, 98, of Memphis, died peacefully in Her Savior’s arms on Tuesday, December 6, 2016. She was the beloved widow of Claude L. Ferguson and loving mother of Judith Rhodes Mills and Linda Ferguson Strock. She was a homemaker and an employee of Sears and Terminal Freight for several years. She was a faithful member of Providence Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church. She was a Sunday school teacher and leader in the Women’s Group during her lifetime. Her children called her “Blessed” as she was a mighty prayer warrior for her family and friends. Her faith was shown in her love and care of others and ministering to those in need. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Emma McQuiston. She leaves her two daughters Judy Mills and Linda Strock, two sons-in-law, Roger Mills and David Strock, two grandsons, John McDaniel and Michael McDaniel and their wives, Tamara McDaniel and Jennifer McDaniel, and five great grandchildren; Lauren McDaniel, Anna McDaniel, Katelyn McDaniel, Matthew McDaniel, and Matthew Strock. The family cordially invites friends to share remembrances of Mrs. Ferguson on Friday, December 9, 2016, from five o’clock in the afternoon until eight o’clock in the evening at Memphis Funeral Home, 5599 Poplar Avenue in Memphis. The funeral will be held Saturday, December 10, 2016, at ten o’clock in the morning also at the funeral home. The internment will follow at Salem Presbyterian Church in Atoka, TN.
