She grew up in Hobart where she graduated from high school a year early. After her marriage she moved to Danville, Illinois. Following her husband’s retirement, she moved to Calvert City, KY, and then, after his death, to Bartlett, TN.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Curtis Eugene McDaniel, and their son, Ernest Gene McDaniel. Vivian is survived by her daughter, Linda Sue (Lonnie) Epperson; grandchildren, Lonnie Epperson, Jr, Curtis (Josie) Epperson, Peyton Epperson, Michael (Bethann) McDaniel, Michelle Mathews, and Jason (Tina) McDaniel, and 10 great-grandchildren.
For most of her life, she was a homemaker, raising her two children to serve the Lord. Later on she taught sewing at Singer Sewing Machine store in Danville, IL.
Vivian was a faithful member at Oliver Creek Church of Christ, where she participated in the sewing ministry, visiting others, and helping out where she could. Her hobbies included Doll Collecting, Machine Knitting, and Sewing. She was a member of the Memphis Doll Club and the Mid-South Machine Knitter’s Guild.
She loved her family and friends dearly, and enjoyed spending time with them. She was always there to help out when needed. Unfortunately, the pandemic robbed her of the joys of being with the people that she loved and enjoyed, making her extremely lonely the last 9 months of her life. Vivian passed away, alone at a health rehab facility, due to the pandemic restrictions.
She was greatly loved and will be missed by all who knew her.
