WALTER HOMER ELKINS, SR., 100, of Cordova, passed from this life Friday evening at the Baptist Reynolds Hospice House in Collierville. Mr. Elkins was a retired Steam Fitter with International Harvester. He is survived by his wife, Emma Sue Elkins, a daughter, Betty Lou Davis (Jack); sons, Walter H. Elkins Jr. (Holly), Horace T. Elkins (Janet); four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Nina Robertson Elkins. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Memphis Funeral Home on Poplar with visitation beginning at noon. Burial will be in Forest Hill South Cemetery.
