William John Foos Jr., age 71, of Medina, Tennessee passed away on Tuesday, September 10, 2024. Bill was a huge University of Tennessee fan, he also enjoyed playing golf, fishing, scuba diving and being on the beach. Bill was an animal lover and loved doing yard work, he was considered a work-a-holic. None of these titles and hobbies meant more to him than being a family man. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Barbara Foos; two sons, William John Foos III (Mandi) and Jason Michael Foos (Danielle); grandson, Peyton Foos and granddaughters, Brianna and Victoria Sowell. He is also survived by his sister, Helen Jarvis (Mike); sister-in-law, Vicki Raines and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Bill was preceded in death by his parents William J. Foos Sr and Jane Baird and also his grandson, Austin Parker Foos.
A visitation for William will be held Friday, September 13, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Family Funeral Care, 4925 Summer Ave, Memphis, TN 38122. A funeral service will occur Friday, September 13, 2024 at 2:00 PM, 4925 Summer Ave, Memphis, TN 38122. A committal service will occur Friday, September 13, 2024 at 3:30PM at Memorial Gardens 3700 N Germantown Rd Bartlett, TN 38133. Reception to follow at 5:30PM at 3495 Christmasville Rd Oakfield, TN 38362. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Sea Turtle Conservation-Gumbo Limbo Nature Center 'Notate: Bill Foos'.
