William L. Morgan, Sr.

William (Bill) L. Morgan, Sr., 81, passed away on October 2 at his home in Germantown, TN. He was born in Redfield, South Dakota in 1935 to William Morgan and Lila Grabinski Morgan. He was the youngest of four following two older sisters and an older brother. Bill graduated from Woodruff High School in Peoria, IL and started working for Steak'n'Shake. He was with Steak'n'Shake for 25 years.

While working for Steak'n'Shake, Bill was transferred to Tennessee to open new restaurants and moved his family to Germantown in 1977. When Steak'n'Shake closed, he decided to stay in Tennessee and went to work for BP Gas. He loved playing golf, working in his yard and keeping up with the family. Yes, he did Facebook..

He is preceded in death by his parents, a brother and his two sisters.

William is survived by his wife, Caryl, of over 60 years; 6 children Rebecca, Cynthia, Deborah, Angela, William, Jr., Diana; 12 grandchildren and 7 great- grandchildren.

Visitation will be Saturday, October 8, from Noon to 2:00 at Memphis Funeral Home with a service immediately following. In lieu of flowers, donations may be to Methodist Hospice.
