Willie D. Hindman

Willie D. Hindman, 95, went to be with the Lord Jesus May 19, 2017 in Somerville, TN. Willie was born on October 28, 1921 in Saulsbury, TN to the late Edward T. & Willie Roach Durden. She went to business school in Memphis and worked for 17 years at Sears & Roebuck in the Mail Order Credit Department. She was a devoted and loving Christian woman who was a member of Faith United Methodist Church in Memphis. She is greatly loved by her family and friends. The family will gather from nine o’clock until funeral services begin at ten o’clock in the morning on Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at Memphis Funeral Home, 5599 Poplar Avenue, Memphis, TN 38119. Burial will follow in Salem Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Atoka, TN. She was preceeded in death by her husband Robert O. Hindman in August of 2003. Mrs. Hindman is survived by her daughters Paula Aymett (Robert) of Germantown, TN and Nell Harris (Glenn) of Eads, TN; four grandchildren Skip, Courtney, Jessica & David, and 3 great-grandchildren. The family would like to thank the staff of NHC – Somerville and Crossroads Hospice for their devoted care, as well as Someroak Senior Living. Memorials may be sent to the charity of choice in Willie’s honor.
