

Doug passed away on Thursday, August 15, 2013, at home with his fiancee', Sharon Jurgenson at his side after a courageous 6 month battle with lung cancer.
Doug was born in Neenah, the son of the late Jerald and Lorraine Denman. Following High School, Doug worked at the Neenah Foundry, later he served in the U.S. Army as a helicopter mechanic. He worked in asbestos abatement; he then graduated as a certified welder and started a career with Local 8 Ironworkers from 1996 to present. He was part of building many structures and bridges throughout the State of Wisconsin.
Doug was extremely talented and enjoyed any type of maintenance, remodeling or mechanical project. He was always willing to help his friends with his skills. Doug had a great passion for deer hunting and fishing, he also enjoyed gardening; being with his family and just hanging out with friends sharing his stories.
Doug will be greatly missed by his fiancee'; Sharon Jurgenson, Simon, their greyhound; Jumper their cat and many family and friends.
He is survived by his brothers; Fred Denman, Keith Denman, Wade Denman, Steve Denman and his sister Lori Denman. He was preceded in death by his parents, his step mother and a nephew James Denman.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, August 23, 2013, 11:00 a.m. at Martens-Laemmrich Funeral Home, 312 Milwaukee Street, Menasha. Family and friends will be received from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service and at a luncheon following the service at the funeral home.
