Elmer G. Zirpel

Elmer G. Zirpel, 86, of Kimberly, WI passed away on Monday, January 6, 2014, from brain cancer. He was born on November 25, 1927, in Parkston, SD. Elmer married Luella M. Frey on June 5, 1955, in Tripp, SD. They were married 58 years and had 5 children. Elmer served in the army during the Korean War. He worked for Gambles Department Store for 25 years and drove school bus for 30 years before retiring.

Elmer is survived by his wife Luella and four children; Rich (Amiee), Karen (Peter) Bekx, Ron (Melissa), Randy (Renee); six grandchildren: Jordan, Amanda, Parker, Connor, Preston, and Riley; one brother, Norbert of Parkston, SD; two sisters Rosalene (Roth) of Huron, SD, and MaryEllen (Mettenbrink) of Sioux City, IA. He was preceded in death by his daughter Kathy (14 years old), his parents, and four brothers.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, January 10th, 2014 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 300 Broad Street, Menasha. Friends and family may call at the church at 10 A.M. until time of service. Burial will be in Parkston, SD.
